College matters, and CORE Philly is here to help make dreams of college a reality.
CORE (College Opportunity Resources for Education) Philly
is a city-wide initiative founded by Congressman Chaka
Fattah in collaboration with Philadelphia Mayor John F.
Street, School District of Philadelphia CEO Paul Vallas,
Philadelphia City Council members and School Reform Commissioners.
This effort resulted in $40 million to provide scholarships
for four years to help put college within reach of every
Philadelphia high school student.
Invest now in our students and
the future of our city. Join
our efforts to build a $150
million CORE Philly Endowment Fund to ensure that CORE Philly Scholarships are a permanent Philadelphia tradition.
Seniors, apply now for CORE Philly Scholarships. Younger students, sign up for CORE Philly
e-Reminders. Parents, teachers, counselors and all those
who care, get involved and support
the next generation of Philadelphia scholars. For more
information about the scholarship, click here to view the CORE
Philly Application Flyer.
“Even though the odds were stacked against me, I knew I wanted to go to college. CORE Philly helped get me there.”
